Helping people move forward in faith and life by discovering and fulfilling their purpose.
OUR STRATEGY: THE 5 “G’s”
GRACE: The Great Commission compels us to “go into all the world” and make Jesus known to ALL people by sharing the Good News of Jesus. We believe God sends us to people in order to help them discover Christ and, as a result, discover their true purpose and design. Extending God’s grace to ALL people and sharing the message of Christ is called EVANGELISM.
GATHERING: We believe something special happens when God’s people come together for WORSHIP! It is not simply a suggestion that we regularly engage in corporate worship. This IS who we are! The Greek word for “Church” is “Ekklesia” or Gathering, so it is no surprise that we place emphasis on the importance of spending time together.
GROUPS: We believe change happens in circles, not rows! Corporate worship is empowering, but deeper moments of intimacy, learning, and spiritual growth happens in groups (we call them life groups because we believe that describes what happens in groups…people come to life!). DISCIPLESHIP is the name we use for the spiritual growth and development which happens in group settings!
GIFTS: We believe the key to lasting fulfillment in our relationship with God is linked directly to the discovery and use of our spiritual gifts. Each person has been created and blessed with the ability to serve others. Our goal is to help everyone discover and utilize their gifts to serve others. We call this act of serving others MINISTRY!
GIVING: We encourage everyone to engage in the MISSION of Christ in the world by giving their time, abilities, and finances to accomplish the goals of the local and global Church. We offer regular opportunities to give in these ways. Some of these opportunities are within the context of the local Church, some are community based and others are part of the world-wide mission of the Church!
OUR VALUES: We have embraced these motivational value statements as a guide for us in how we approach our mission:
1. We are faith-filled, big thinking, bet-the-farm risk takers. We will never insult God with small thinking or safe living.
2. We are not spiritual consumers; we are spiritual contributors. The church does not exist for us. We are the church, and we exist for the world.
3. We will lead the way with irrational generosity. We truly believe it is more blessed to give than to receive.
4. We will do anything short of sin to reach people who don’t know Christ. To reach people no one is reaching, we’ll do things no one is doing!
