The Momentum Church Story
Momentum Church was started by Charlie and Rebecca Arms in the fall of 2014 with a handful of people meeting at Gelsosomo’s Pizzeria in Crown Point. Our grand opening to the public was November 2, 2014 at the Southlake YMCA in Crown Point. After out-growing our space at the YMCA, Momentum Church moved to Crown Point High School, and in November of 2017, we moved to our facility located at 2200 North Main Street in Crown Point. Now, a couple hundred people gather with us each week on Sunday, and then scatter into life groups throughout the month.
From Pastor Charlie and Rebecca:
We dream of a diverse group of people from all over The Region coming together as people who genuinely care about each other and demonstrate God’s love in many beautiful and creative forms. We envision new friendships and bonds developing which will last a lifetime!
We dream of an engaging, vibrant, and modern worship experience in which people can find a safe and welcoming place to explore their relationship with Christ. We envision upbeat music, messages that are relevant, and a relaxed environment. While presentation and production should never be ignored, we see authenticity, transparency, and love as much higher priorities.
We dream of having one of the best children’s ministries in the region! We see a place where kids can’t wait to come back and can’t stop talking about it through the week! We envision kids learning to love Jesus, growing in knowledge, and sharing their faith with family and friends.
We dream of a youth ministry where teens can build positive and encouraging relationships in a safe environment. We envision an energetic, fun, and engaging experience where teens are challenged to grow in their faith and express their love for God through acts of worship, ministry, and mission.
We dream of helping thousands of people discover their unique gifts for ministry and mission.
We see thousands of people engaging in ministry and mission through Momentum Church both regionally and globally. We envision hundreds of people called into ministry and sent out into the world to serve the Kingdom mission of Christ.
